The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere features many animal species from around the world in a variety of beautiful zoo habitats including Lorikeet Landing, Gibbon Islands, The Unseen New World, and Bamboo Trail, as well as the Meerkat, Bongo, and endangered Hyacinth Macaw exhibits. The Zoo also offers the Wild Animal Carousel, Critter Encounters petting area, and exciting animal shows and programs.With a mission of “Inspiring a culture of understanding and discovery of our natural world through conservation, innovation, and leadership”, this wonderful zoo offers group trips and special on-site events, and sponsors a number of important wildlife conservation programs.
